Every Sunday my family and a few of my friends do a rotating dinner schedule. Not only does someone different cook each Sunday, but they have to follow a pre-determined theme (IE: Mexican, French, East Coast, Gone With The Wind... etc)..... this week we are breaking the rules and having a CHOPPED: Village Style Challenge!
The TV show "Chopped" is a cooking show where 4 chefs are given a basket of secret ingredients and 30 minutes to use all of the ingredients in one meal. Because we are not chefs, we revealed the ingredients yesterday and have all had about 24 hours to consider our meal for tonight!
In order to come up with the ingredients, we each entered 2 ingredients ideas into a hat and 5 were chosen: Chicken, Pears, Honey, Squash and Avocado!

MY dish is already done.... I made oven-baked butternut squash chips and a curried chicken and fruit salad!! WOOHOO!
