When I was talking w/ my fiance tonight about the fact that when I entered my most recent weight loss (a total of 15.6 lbs- WooHoo!), the nutrition tracker reset my daily caloric intake range to 1250-1600. Before that, I was eating around 1650 & concerned about feeling full.
However, today I ate 1,571 calories and have felt completely satisfied. My fiance asked me if I had increased my fiber intake. Interesting! In fact, that is exactly what happened (albiet accidently).
I added 2 tsp. of ground flax seed to my cottage cheese this morning, when I had already added 1/2 of a Flax Oatbran Muffin & did not mean to add more fiber. Plus, throughout the day I had a couple of multigrain tortillas & two flax & multigrain crackers.
Because the flax seed is so low in calories (about 10 per tsp), I think I'll just plan to add that to my meals throughout the day - it feels like a magic formula!
