I've been a bad Judy recently. I don't want to go to the gym. It's just too hot and icky, as they have a glass ceiling and the only non-glass walls are the bathroom/changing rooms. So with the lovely VA sun beating down and no a/c, the minute you open the door, you get hit with a wall of smelly, stinky hot air. Jeez, I can't imagine why I've been blowing it off the last two weeks.
I decided it was time to run outside. Only the pollen is so heavy around here that you can actually watch it floating through the air. Cars, no matter how often washed, are simply coated. And despite the fact that I grew up in a forrest filled with Pine, Birch, Maple, Oak, etc., I appear to have moved to Viriginia and developed tree allergies... Grand.
Most of the time, I'm pretty loopy on Claritin, which does stop the sneezing and make life less obnoxious, however it also has me going, "HUH? The building is on fire? What building?" I was an hour late getting home last night because I didn't trust myself behind the wheel!
However, I know I have to get back to the exercise routine. Playing softball once a week does not replace a daily run. So as a motivation, I have dangling in front of me my tickets to the front row concert of Barenaked Ladies. Between now and August 19th, I have to exercise 30 minutes minimum each day OR ELSE NO CONCERT. I will GIVE the tickets away. I will be strict with myself and be a good girl and go to the gym if I want to know what would happen if they had a million dollars.
