I knew I needed to do something about my weight and health, but WHAT???
I found SparkPeople very much by accident while looking for weight loss web sights. Nothing in my life has been the same since that day!!!!!!
I just thought I would list a few of the changes that I have seen in the last two years:
1. Weight reduction from 320 pounds to 160 pounds.
2. Medications from 8 per day to 2 per day.
3. Shirt size from 4X to medium.
4. Pants size from 48 to 32.
5. Exercise from ZERO to 60+ minutes per day.
The next big step in my journey to better health is a knee replacement scheduled for June 17,2011. I have already been seeing a physical therapist and doing the exercises that I will be doing after the surgery. I am expecting the recovery and rehab to go smooth and then my activity level will really increase. It should be a great relief to walk and ride my bike with much less pain!!!!
The whole point of this little story is that without SparkPeople and all the friends I have met here, I would never have come this far. The past two years has been a life changing experience for me.
