It's been a while since I blogged but I've been really busy and I felt like the longer I stayed on the website, the shorter my sleep. SP advices sleep is more important so I chose sleep. I do miss blogging though. It helps me relieve stress when I can vent and just simply talking about my journey helps me stay on course.
So, where do I begin? Okay, first of, let me tell you that I'm a proud graduate

of the C25K program!

All the hard work paid off because I went from barely able to run 2 minutes to finishing a 5K! You heard that right! This past Saturday, I joined the Los Angeles Revlon run/walk for women with breast cancer. I ran the whole way in 35 minutes!!! I was so proud of myself that I started to choke up when I saw the finish line and I was in tears by the time I reached it. I've gotta say though that my husband made it special for me. Although he's a faster runner, he stayed on my pace and did this with me all the way, encouraging me and making sure I was okay. As we were finishing, he said, "Good job honey! You did it!" and that was it...I was crying in his arms by that time. Yeah, I probably could have done it without him, but he made the experience that much better and for that, I think I love him even more now

.
I'm thankful that I've "learned" how to run because of the C25K program. The person who created it is

! Without it, it would have been really hard for me to get into running and loving it at the same time. Who knew that someone like myself could run? Wow! Even I'm still amazed!
Music was a big a factor in my running too. Without it, I'd be completely bored and too focused on time. I couldn't have done it without my iPhone.
Last, but not least, I've continued to lose weight due to running alongside good eating habits during the week. No plateau here since I've started running and I don't plan to stop now.
As of now, I can incorporate running into my fitness along with other activities I love and will love. I'm just so happy right now!!!
