After losing 7 bowling balls of weight, Multi level cervical fusion, new hip, and lumbar surgery this is how I have progressed. It's been 17 months since starting my weight loss, Jan 2010 since I joined Sparks, and less than a year since my last surgery.
Many hours in the gym to get my body to stabilize.
If you try this don't use a 20lb dumbbell in each hand. I do my upper body strength training in this manner to keep everything firing and stabilize my hip and back. I also do a specific routine I created on BOSU ball for lower body strength. 5 Minutes and your legs are on fire as well as your trunk.
