Mothers Day fallout......

Monday, May 09, 2011

Mother's Day was great but now I have to clean up. DH offered to help but since he had to go to work and I did not, I'm at it. He barbecued ribs and that took hours, so we're even.

I have gotten the good china and crystal washed and put back in the breakfront.
Two diswasher loads have been washed and put away.
I'm on my third load of laundry.
I mopped the kitchen floor.
I had a low cal breakfast and plan on eating super healthy today (to make up for yesterday.)
I made arrangements for a walk tomorrow with friends (everyone is recouping from yesterday).

I'm such a whiner. It's only 9 AM and I'm done with my "chores". I have nothing to whine about. The rest of the day is for me....I think I can handle it. I think I'll go out and dig in the garden for a while.....the weather's great.

I know the feeling. I love it when I'm home in the summer and can get the house clean and chores done right away. Then, it's off to the flowers and exercise or playing with the kids. emoticon

Laurel, your mother's day sounds perfect. How nice to have a man that loves you enough to make you a home cooked meal. I so dislike restaurants on mother's day (as you all know what happened to me). Nothing like Home Cooking! Enjoy your garden day! emoticon

Dinner sounds like it was yummy! I must admit the dishes are not my favorite so I get it. That was sweet of your hubby to cook for you. Hope you enjoy your time in the garden.

Sounds like me last night! I did all the work except the floors, I ran out of Swifer pads, I know excuses, excuses. LOL I will do the floors tonight after dinner.
