A New Day

Wow...its already the second week in May! I am thankful for spring because I love getting outside. It really helps me want to be fit and keep moving. So much daylight left after I'm done work for the day...love it!
As far as what I'm eating and weight loss I have been maintaining. But even though my weight hasn't been going down, I am still making good choices for the most part. I just need to be a bit more consistent and things will starting moving down again.
My dear sweet Mom came to visit for the weekend and we tend to make poor decisions when any two members of our family our together. We had lots of healthy meals but made our biggest mistake when we put all the 'sweets and desserts' out on the table after Saturday night dinner. We both kept grazing until we had to get up and put them away. Even the children were making better choices...they were eating clementine tangerines while my Mom and I were having cookies and candy.
So we talked about it the next day and agreed that when we are together we will not bring all the desserts to the table as has always been our tradition after big meals. It will be everyone serve themselves and get back up if you want seconds. That will make it much easier for us to portion control because we wont be tempted by what's sitting under our noses.
Little steps add up to good lifestyle changes! :)
