Well, it's been a while since I have blogged, so I will catch everyone up on what's going on with me! I can honestly say that I feel like an "epic failure" here lately. Working out has been the least of my priorities. I have been so busy with my kiddos, and preparing for the last days of the school year, that I haven't really been focusing on me and what I need to do to get my workout in.

This weekend was busy. My hubby and I rebuilt our 18ft flower bed out in the front of our house, which has those retaining wall blocks (140 of them at 17lbs a piece) and shoveled in 2 truck loads of dirt! Good Lord do my forearms hurt. He was really sore this yesterday morning. Mine just ache here at work. Even typing is making them ache... lol But, now the fun part comes in..., planting (well, next weekend, as it is supposed to be close to 100 for the next couple of days! This is May, isn't it??! Lol

My walking with my buddy in the afternoons, is non-comparable to me going to the gym and working out for a full hour. When I walk, I don't feel like I am pushing myself hard enough (15min/mile, walking for 60min). I haven't been motivated to do anything, and I know that if I just got up and moved, or went to the gym, I wouldn't be feeling this way. Something is going to have to JOLT me to get me exercising again, because I feel great when I do it! I have to get back into going before I get home, because my kiddos are going to be out of school here soon. The thought of having to put on a bathing suit again, scares the daylights out of me. I felt great last year, even though I hadn't hit my goal. I was working out everyday. I will get there. I am just going through a phase... emoticon

Well, I hope I can get out of this blah, I know I'll feel better, but I just HAVE to do it! Have a fantastic week everyone. Stay cool (for you Wichitans), because it's going to be downright scorching!!

    I had to laugh: I was thinking the very same thing. We had company on Fri and Sat. The the granddaughters soccer games on Saturday at noon. We did some shopping, but when starting the grocery shopping, we ran out of the store in order to get to church. Still no shoppig done. haha

Then church. Then over to the grandkids school fun night. Then out to eat with the family. Then home late. Little relax. Up early Sunday morning. Got the MOther's Day surprise at the store. Hundreds of other people were doing the same thing at 9 am.

Then off to the resturant to meet over 30 relatives and mothers galore. After eating our daughter and her husband and children came over. Got a bike ride in. Then off to the movie with the all in the family.

Home around 9 pm. A quick walk with the wife. Then a little relax and then bed: Ahhh! I gotta go back to work to rest!

    I know working in the yard and walking don't do the calorie burn like the cardio machines--but sometimes with the kids around, that's all you can do--my only suggestion is just do more of that if you can't get in the heavy cardio.

    I'm involved in similar activities and feel the "pain". Just keep Sparkin'!!! Our rain isn't over yet, but we will catch up when we can!!! Keep Sparkin'!!!
