Hope you had a wonderful Sunday & Mother's Day!

I sure did! The day just went too fast!

Got up early and went to church on the way to visit our daughter at the University.

We went to pick up a "load" of her belongings. She needed us to come with a pickup truck to bring home "part" of her things.
Lots of boxes and laundry...guess what Mom gets to do?

She will finish school for this year at the end of the week and will bring the rest of her things home for the summer this next weekend.

Then the following week, she is off to intern in Washington DC for the summer.
I will miss her terribly, but also realize that she is looking so forward to this opportunity. She will be an intern with the House of Representatives.
I am hoping to go and visit her with my two sisters in July.

We went out for lunch at a lovely little Greek restaurant. One of my favorite cuisines.

Then stopped at a Cheese Factory on the way home for cheese curds and had an ice cream cone... a real treat. The flavor I chose to splurge on was called "Eskimo Dream." It had coconut flakes and chocolate truffle pieces in it. It was a small cone, but really delicious! Worth the splurge for sure. Glad I enjoyed it in portion control away from, there isn't any sitting in my freezer! LOL!

Then, on the way home we stopped to visit my Mom. She had gone out for lunch with two of my brothers and Dad today. She said she had a very nice, quiet day. I am sure she was contacted by my other siblings...2 sisters and another brother. She loves hanging flowering each year, that is what I give her for Mother's Day.

I hope all you "Moms" had a wonderful day!

Have a super week, everyone!

Sorry I am late reading this. It sounds like you had a wonderful "Moms Day".

How exciting for your DD to spend the summer as an intern and what an opportunity.

My daughter has year round housing (a lease agreement), so I will be making several trips up for "sleepovers", lol! She also has a year round job on campus. We are going up Monday to our condo at the beach (fifteen minutes from her school) and she will get to come and spend the day/night with us on Tuesday. She is looking forward to a "mini vacation" and walking on the beach. I've packed some games and we are having a pizza night (must be good,ha ha!)

The ice cream flavor sounds so yummy that you picked. I love coconut and truffles!

Hope your week is going well! Thank you for ALL your prayers for my Dad. He started rehab yesterday and it looks like he will be at the rehab hospital for awhile.

You enjoyed a beautiful Mother's Day Maria! How exciting for your daughter to be interning this summer! What an opportunity! I know you'll miss her tho. Hugs for you mom!

And the Eskimo Dream sounds AWESOME! I'm so glad you got to treat yourself! We all need to do a little of that now & then! Do a "splurge", that is!

How fortunate you are to still have your mom... You're very blessed!

I had a wonderful mother's cards & calls from children. Talked w/the grandkids via phone & I did a little shopping for summer clothes! All in all, it was a great day!

What a good Mother's Day! The lunch and ice cream after sounds wonderful! How exciting for your daughter to be an intern with the House of Representatives! What an exceptional young lady you have raised! I hope that we get to hear a little bit about what it is like for her. I remember lugging all that stuff back and forth from college when I was young. Laundry took me days! lol!

We had a quiet time here at home with a short visit to the lake with my parents who are here visiting for the weekend from Northfield, MN. They have just been on a cruise in Holland.

Thank you so much for the recap of your Mother's Day. It sounds perfect!

Sounds like a great day! You got to see both your daughter and your Mother ... what a blessing! I talked with my daughter today and will get to visit her next weekend. My Mother moved to Heaven ten years ago this week. (I still talk to her sometimes ... a rather one-sided conversation.)

Your meal and treats sound delightful! And what an exciting time is coming for your daughter! I hope your visit works out ... what an adventure!

Wishing you a super week also! Sleep well tonight Maria! Betty
