This is the summer I will take my long awaited trip to Colorado. This trip was a part of my motivation for getting fit and loosing extra pounds. I had a thought, dream, idea that I would be at my goal weight of 147 by July 16th. For me to achieve that goal I would need to loose 19 pounds in 68 days...loose 19 pounds in 9.7 weeks. That's 2 pounds per week. Can I do that? I'm not sure.
My former self would have responded to this question with an enthusiastic "sure, I can do that!" And then I would have procrastinated until a few days before the trip. I would have not lost a pound. I would have felt defeted. Not good!
My past does not dictate my future. With the knowledge I've learned and the changes I've made in the last 3 months I am going to say out loud..."I know how hard I have to work to loose 2 pounds per week and with that knowledge I am going to work hard at achieving that goal!"
