The sixth week of an eight week challenge I joined at our local YMCA was to burn 4000 calories (at the Y.) Since I don't jog or run I didn't think I could do it. But I went everyday this week - most days once before work and then afterward and by this afternoon I had burned 4038 calories! I don't want to do it again but it was great to accomplish it and keep myself on track to reach the total of 1000 points earned in the 8 week period. But tomorrow will be the best prize when I weigh myself, that is if I lose weight. I've had to eat more all week to keep up with the extra exercise.
Next week is strength training and our last week will be to do a marathon - 26 miles over the 7 day period! That can be done in the Y or on our own. Have to set up a spreadsheet to track that - ha!
