I haven't written in just over a month, for shame!
I've been struggling big time to get out of the 160s for the last month or two. IT IS RIDICULOUS. I've been eating particularly well over the last two weeks, and am finally feeling that Want to go on a jog first thing in the morning. I'm not kicking my own butt to get going, it's an urge from within! But I just can't get out of the 160's!!! I think I need to up the challenge of my jog. I've been changing it up by switching between the treadmill and my favorite trail, but I think I'm going to explore some new routes. Excellent time to start since the weather is so BEAUTIFUL these days. And maybe I've been changing it up too much. I think my focus will be exercising around the same time every day. That has been particularly challenging because Jimmy John's (my job) has been changing the schedule literally every other week. (Almost as ridiculous as this plateau). But, it's possible, and I'm an early morning person anyway! I GOT THIS!
Also, I need new running shoes! There are ads galore, so any Sparkers out there have any direct recommendations for me?
Oh, and Happy Mother's Day! I registered for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in the Quad Cities for my Grandma! I have exactly 5 weeks to get my 3.1 miles down to under 30 minutes. My best time so far is juuuust under 34 minutes. Wish me luck :)
