Keep your Eyes, Thoughts and Words on the Millions

Saturday, May 07, 2011

In marriage the things you love and treasure about each other will keep your relationship strong and draw you closer to each other.

What you love and cherish about each other even though might be millions in number might soon seem very little compared to the few thousand of things you don’t fancy about each other.

Even though millions are more than thousands in number, the thousands soon seem more than the millions because of the attention you give to them in words, thoughts and actions. The more you focus on the negative the bigger they seem, and the more they influence your relationship.

The most important thing is not the quantity of what you like about each other but how often you feed on those things and allow the fragrance and beauty to fill everything about your relationship.

The negatives even though might be just a few can have so much negative power and influence if you talk, think and focus on them for more than you focus on the positive.

The key to enjoying your relationship is in keeping your thoughts and words focused on the things you love and value about each other. The more time you spend thinking and talking about the positives the happier and stronger you relationship would be.

They would enable you to see your relationship as a blessing from God. They will fill your heart with joy and help you to overcome difficult times much quickly and easily.

Well said! You are right when you said that even though there are more positive than negative, it seems that people can focus more on the negative. I try to focus on the positive, but there are days when the negative creeps in and tries to take over. But with the Lord's help, I can focus on the positive!
