What's Happened To Me?

I haven’t blogged in awhile. I’ve wanted to, but felt like I needed something meaningful to say or it wasn’t important. Well, maybe this is or isn’t meaningful or important to anyone else, but it is to me, so here goes…..
I’ve been a member of Spark for almost 4 months now.
I’ve lost 45 pounds.
I exercise almost every day and love it.
I am registered to run my first sanctioned 5K this Sunday (my Mother’s Day present to myself.)
I will run a 4 mile race on Memorial Day (with my son, who has started running with me recently YIPPEE!)
I will run a 10K race on the Fourth of July.
I will run a half-marathon in September.
I am doing an “extreme” 5K with my son and nephew in September.
I cross train on my non-running days.
I look for active things to do for fun instead of sitting on the couch watching TV.
I’ve planted a vegetable garden for the first time in my life.
I eat fruits and vegetables every day.
I drink my 8 glasses of water every day.
I haven’t drunk soda in 4 months.
I log everything I eat at least 99.9% of the time.
I’m more confident.
I KNOW I can do things I’ve only dreamed of being able to do before (like all of the above things that I’m doing!)
I tell people every day about how SparkPeople has changed my life. Actually, SparkPeople hasn’t changed my life, I’ve changed my life WITH the help of SparkPeople and I am in awe of that.
If you are reading this, you can live a life that before you only imagined. It is possible. Make the choice. I have.
