17 day diet plan day 9 cycle 1

So today I had much more energy. I still have pain and lethargy in the morning, but that's due to the CFS/Fibro. I drove my mother to the doctor and went shopping for groceries. I was gone from noon until 4pm, so I didn't have time to eat lunch, but didn't feel hungry. I picked up subs for the family and a big salad from the salad bar for myself. I still have half the salad left and didn't eat any of the roast chicken I bought.

I realized this morning that according to the plan, I shouldn't be eating fruit in the evening. Supposedly it doesn't digest. I really like this plan, but doesn't it seem like every "diet" has their own little quirks. Some say don't eat carbs or protein in the evening. One plan I had that also worked, said only eat fruit or plain popcorn at night! Is the research all so different? I think it's because they want their plans to be unique; so they're aren't accused of plagiarism or copyright or whatever.

I lost weight this week so I must be doing something right. I have no cravings, I'm not hungry. I'm eating healthy and still losing pounds. I can live with this.

Now I'm off to figure out the calories in that big salad with a little of this and a little of that!

    Gabby - I have always said there are many good well balanced diets out there. You just need to find the one you can follow and still live a happy life. Perhaps this is the one for you!

As to all the research, what can a person truly believe. Just when we think the research is true, they do another study that reverses their previous opinion.

I say all things in moderation. It's the total calories and exercise that makes it work. Just be sure your calories are well balanced as you need all the foods in the pyramid.

    Actually, I added a hard boiled egg and added about 1 oz. of boiled chicken.

    You are doing great. Be careful about the salad though. If all you had was salad "stuff", did you make sure to get enough protein somewhere else. You said you skipped the chicken.

I agree about each diet have its own quirks. I was reading where you should only eat fruit before a meal, not during or after. Because it "creates" gases and that is why we feel bloated. Another one said drink green tea at least a half hour before meals and better between meals. And the 17 day diet says with meals.

Glad you had more energy today. Keep up the great job!
