So I have been really neglectful in blogging. Just nothing new going on! I am now on week 5 of couch to 5 K, doing it for the second week in a row as last week was just not a good week running wise! I still ran 3 days just could not complete the whole distances! This week I will do it!! My 5 k is June 26th so I still have some time but I would really like to be comfortable running 5 K before then! I signed up for Run for the Cure in October so I have quite a bit of time between runs so we'll see what the summer brings! Eating has been kind of hit and miss and I have been really bad at tracking lately. Trying to get back at it but some days I still am not tracking, but I figure since I have been losing weight (most of the time) I am not doing too bad nutrition wise! Eventually I would like to be able to not track at all but for now I still need to do it most days to keep me on track.
I am working from home again doing medical transcription so by the end of the day my wrist is pretty sore these days, probably another reason why I have not blogged, don't want to spend anymore time on the computer then I have to. I saw the rehab specialist before Easter and she confirmed that the MRI definitely shows that I need surgery. She says that now they would go in and clean up the cartilage which would hopefully help with the pain and if that does not work then I could be looking at a wrist fusion down the road. The goal would be to avoid this for as long as possible. Unfortunately the surgeon has a 6 month waitlist but the rehab doc was going to send her note to her as well and strongly suggest that I be seen as soon as possible as she does not think I should wait to much longer for the surgery. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Makes me frustrated though because if they had gone in and cleaned up the minimal damage of the cartilage seen on my original MRI 4 years ago then this could all have been possibly avoided but I guess I have no guarantee of that either!
Anyway, looking forward to going strong through May, continue Couch to 5K and complete the SparkPeople Spring into Shape Bootcamp!
