Briefly, my sports podiatrist prescribed prednisone a few weeks ago and it seems to have helped. My heel seems to be improving, even though progress is slow. I no longer wear the air cast and have a little soreness at the end of the day, but nothing like it used to be.

I've had a couple terrific running dreams lately. In the first, I ran another marathon and broke 4 hours without even trying (my friend Mary and her husband, Brett, were running it with me). In the other dream, I was trail running without pain, which would be a dream come true in itself.

Here are some recent pictures:

Have a great week, SP friends!

your family is beautiful. Thanks for the update. I hope those dreams come true, they don't seem unrealistic. Sorry i've been so MIA! Life gets so busy working full time, DS with the rest of the time :). Making time for exercise has been a challenge, let alone spark time :). Miss you! Say hi to R for me!

Sorry I didn't respond to your post sooner, I read it but couldn't log in on my phone....

Anyways, we ran a marathon together in your dream?! That is so cool! And I hope a dream that comes true in the future.

Very glad to hear that you've lost the air cast. And I hope things continue to improve and that you'll be running soon.

We sent an e-vite to Rhonda for a cook-out we're having on the 14th, hope your family can make it. Love the pictures!

John, that's great news! You're on your way! One day, we'll be running together and this brief period without running will seem like a distant memory.

The kids look GREAT! They are SO LUCKY to have such a great dad!

Glad your feeling better. Please watch for side effects while being on short term prednisone . . . even my husbands doctor took me aside and mentioned he was not right . . . his kidneys started to fail after a two week treatment that was prescribed for sudden hearing loss, but it was a high dose with a rapid taper off of the drug. Took over a month for it to fix itself.
