Time for a new perspective

Sunday, May 01, 2011

The other day I grabbed my skinny jeans from the closet. Usually I avoid them as they always feel snug and I feel fat in them. Looking at the butt area, I thought there is no way that I am going to fit into these today. Happily I realized they did fit and were a little loose. Putting on my new jacket before leaving for work, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. For once, I saw what others have been seeing - a newer and skinnier me.

Until then, I still saw the heavier me in the mirror. Don't get me wrong, I did see some of the progress. Yet it felt like I was on treadmill and not getting anywhere.

True - I have been feeling healthier. True I seem to stand a little taller. True I continue to keep making smart choices when eating. So now is the time to start writing new goals which is a little scary but exciting all at the same time.

I think you have captured the idea that we should all adopt! That is - accept the accomplishments and progress that we have made, and look at the positive aspects of how we are now! WTG on such a wonderful transformation!

How wonderful for you! If we could only see ourselves through other people's eyes ALL the time. We tend to like to make ourselves miserable though, don't we?

Celebrate your accomplishments and strut your stuff! emoticon

    You look gorgeous lady!

I have watched this transformation over this past year and it has been amazing. You should be so proud of yourself as I know this was a lot of work and commitment. And you stuck to it, no matter what you had going on. You amaze me.

On the flip side, I ate all you couldn't. Now it must be my turn.

Thanks for your incentive!

Fabulous darling...........simply fabulous!

How neat is that! I love your new perspective about yourself. Now, you have give me the sense to look at the postitve things I like about myself when I look in a mirrow. Sometimes we tend to be much too critical of ourselves. Let our personalities show!
