April Review and May Goals!

In April I:
Ran 23 miles.
Lost 5 lbs (reached 180 for first time in 2 years)
Went on 6 dives.
Got used to eating a 1500 calorie diet.
Felt much slimmer!
Spent a week in Cayman and Easter with my family!

I feel as though I've really gotten used to running and have fallen in love with how easy it is. Not EASY, but all I need is shoes and non-cotton pants :-) Oh, and music. Can't forget that! I am rewarding myself with a haircut. Well, really this is just an excuse to get one as my hair hasn't been cut since is officially out of control!

Goals for May:
~ Lose 5 lbs by May 14!
~ Lose 10 lbs by June 3!
~ Run 4 times each week (even if it's just 2 mi or on the treadmill)
~ Complete my second 5K- and do it in less than 34 minutes (May 21 baby!)
~ Stretch after every run
~ Eat below 1600 calories at least 5 days/week
~ Some kind of strength training 2x/week (bootcamp videos, 30DS, free weights/crunches)

And maybe do the Spring Bootcamp videos 5x/week....we'll see about that one! I also would like to see my waist to shrink at least 1 inch (to 30) by June.

My reward for all of this work and consistency is....

- going to my Amanda's wedding 20 pounds lighter than the last time I saw most of my friends!!
- new sweater and shoes for the wedding..I am the reader, I do have to look pretty :-)
- getting to wear my beautiful SIZE 10 strapless Ann Taylor dress and feeling more comfortable this time!
- and maybe new going-out jeans!

Hey, if I can keep it off, I really don't care how long it takes! Although it would be pretty awesome to go to Christmas festivities weight 40 pounds less than last year.

Anyways, I have been feeling a little down after vacation and with all this rain, but I am very pumped up to run faster and harder. Ultimately I would really love to run an 8K or 10K before the end of the year, but we will see what the weather is like this summer for training. And I'm super motivated to see my friends this weekend and in June and July and feel great! My boyfriend is beginning to get his butt in gear and work out, as well emoticon

    You have been working so hard and have done great. I'm super excited to get to see you (although waiting a month does suck). Thanks for always posting your progress, it keeps me motivated and up-to-date on your life.

    I'm also glad we're doing Sring Bootcamp together ;)
