I finally told Ray (my DH) that I might have to regain a few pounds because I have been feeling peaked lately - you know, dizzy, nauseous, unable to remain standing too long - well, I told him today on the way to the Blood Bank.
They check your blood for your Iron count before you can donate and mine was low - not extremely, but it is supposed to be 12 and it was 11 the first test and 10.5 the second test.
Uh-huh. I haven't been eating my Fiber One because my fiber has been better than ok with all the carrots. And, although I do track it, I haven't been checking it!
I tell you all this because it can happen to anyone. The only signs I was told to watch for being too low in weight were dizzy and nauseous - but low iron can do the same things.
1/2 cup cereal daily will give you all the iron you need. I came home and had my cereal and started feeling better pretty darn quickly.
The bad news - I had already eaten for blood donation

4/30 - yup! got my cereal in today!
