My sequined vest is making me BOLD today

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Seriously - I don't know what has gotten into me.

First period (advanced art) - I had to yell at a boy for throwing a girl's stuffed toy - I called him over, gave him a hug, and said that boys like to tease, but girls really don't like it. That was my yelling at him.

Another student was cutting out cardboard ovals for "shields" to go with our T square swords - I challenged him to a cardboard cutting race, and we each managed to whip out 4 shields (instead of his usual 1 per day).

Second period (basic art) - managed to get half the class finished with their minibooks, while getting the rest finishing their flags.

Third period (mixed basic and advanced) - we read an introduction to the Renaissance in our art books, and I showed the students pieces of marble I brought back from Carrara, Italy - we looked at photos of Michelangelo's Pieta, as well as the David, so it fit in.

Then I went to a school improvement plan meeting - we worked until the power went out, at which point the principal said, "Eh, send it in, it's just a draft" and I suggested I should go home to email it in. He agreed, but then the power came back on, so I stayed at school.

I swear, this vest is making me FRISKY!!!!!!
