It's been awhile since I've written. I was away on VACATION in sunny Barbados!!
Just what the Dr. ordered :) It's amazing how when you're fully removed from situations how much more clarity you gain. I have some actions in place to ease the stress/tension from my life and make everyday even more amazing. I also have my appointment with the Neurologist this week (finally) so hopefully he/she can offer some insight into the seizures.
Even though it's only been about a month- I've already learned a lot about vitamins/Supplements so I thought I would share some of my findings.
I was taking the "Be Wholesome" multivitamin pack from GNC and have learned it's just okay. Nothing super. I feel you can get more "bang for your buck" with just a multi vitamin as these are quite expensive for what they are. I also find there's almost too much stuff in them. I like being able to pick & choose specific things my body actually needs. I will continue to take the "Be Beautiful" vitamin individually as it has helped with strengthening my nails & hair.
Still taking PASSION FLOWER to help with anxiety and I cannot express how much these really do help!
I'm trying a new multi-vitamin WITH a probiotic called Multibionta. If you go to their website they have a $10 off coupon! It's a well rounded multi so I look forward to sharing my findings with this one.
Taking an Omega supplement (from Genuine health, you can get this at any drug store). I'm also anxious to share my findings with this one. My aunt (aka the vitamin know-it-all) says Omega is a good thing to focus on as it's good for energy & immune system.
Still taking iron Supplements but not daily. Unfortunately, they have really messed with my system. I am now on a steady diet of Metamucil to go along with. I must say, they have some less gross flavors now though. I currently am using raspberry lemonade and it's not THAT bad. The iron really does help with my energy though. I'm always amazed and if I take more around/during my period- it helps immensely.
All in all, I have found that taking vitamins/Supplements in general have improved my energy levels. Food these days simply do not have all of the nutrients our body needs. I also find drinking mineral water
(i usually have 2 bottles a week as it's high in sodium so you don't want to over do it). I highly recommend going to your family dr. and getting blood work done to determine a good vitamin regime for you!
That's the progress on my vitamins so far :)
Have a great day everyone!
