So, it's a lazy Saturday morning in my slippers. I have a fair amount of tasks on my to do list. After breakfast, my whole day was going to start with a workout on the treadmill. A little cereal and fruit, a little coffee, a little news, a little more coffee, a little internet surfing, a little lounging, a little coffee...you get the picture.
Time was quickly slipping away as I was spiraling down into deep lounge mode in my fuzzy, warm slippers. The more time passed the better my fuzzy, warm, faux lamb skin slippers felt. I saw my whole day pass before me in my mind. What I didn't see in it was my workout. My motivation was "slippering" away and I had no idea how to stop it from doing so.
Then these words popped into my mind...just put on your shoes. As I slipped my feet out of those fuzzy, warm, faux lamb skin slippers and into my athletic shoes, my attitude changed and so did my day. I was surprised to physically feel different. Instead of a feeling of lounging my day away I had the feeling of get 'er done. And I did. Within minutes I was working out and my day finally began.
A change of shoes changed my attitude.
