Easter Egg Hunt 2011

Saturday, April 23, 2011

Jaden Lee at this morning's Easter Egg Hunt.

I helped the ladies at the church hide or rather 'scatter' the Easter Eggs. Two dozen children and close to 1,000 eggs so everyone found plenty!

So much so that a little girl and her mom arrived late and all eggs had been collected. When Jaden saw the other little girl only had 3 eggs, she shared half of the ones she had picked up with her and still had a 'duck full'!

Had a brief presentation of the Ressurrection story before the egg hunt and hot dogs, chips and lemonade after.

Sunrise service with breakfast after the service EARLY tomorrow-then regular Sunday School and Church service with a luncheon following....

Food 'plan' is going to have to depend on portion control and staying away from the 'obvious' sweets and desserts. Easter basket goodies are not that big an issue as only Jaden is getting a basket and hers has small toys, puzzles, a jump rope and 'bubbles' with minimal candies!

Trust everyone has a great and blessed weekend!
