10-Mile Run, Workouts, No-Sugar Update, & Other Things :)

Saturday, April 23, 2011

Updates from my week! Sorry about all my weird "anyways" and "uhhmmms" on camera. LOL! I feel SO DORKY watching myself talk to a computer screen, but I hope you like me. ;)

What I talk about:
- Finishing my 10 mile run today
- PUMP class and ST/XT workouts through the week
- No-Sugar updates (how it's gone so far)
- New swim-suit and gear for swimming at the wellness center
- Plans with my "little sister" of Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Happy Easter, friends!

Thanks for watching!

You are such a cutie! I love seeing how you look now at your fabulous healthy reminds me that it IS possible to look that good again. (I am also tall, but I've done a darn good job of packing the lbs onto my long frame!)

I have serious collarbone envy...I think I stared at them through the whole video! Lol ;-) I vaguely remember having them, I'm pretty sure they're still there...I'll let you know when they re-appear! :-)

I feel like we're on the same journey! I lost pretty much the same amount of weight as you and I also started running and reached the 10 mile mark myself. I'm also running a HM at the end of May! Good luck to you!! :)

Also, I love love love the Balega (hidden comfort) running socks! I was also getting blisters and found these to be awesome! Try and get a pair!

    Wow! 10 miles, that's amazing!

I'm so glad you're going strong on your no sugar fast. I totally blew it all weekend, went absolutely nuts on the candy all afternoon yesterday, and felt just sick last night and still do today. I then proceeded to munch on some more (since it was just lying there calling my name!) this morning. I also drank too much coffee and since I hosted, was kind of strung-out anyway and didn't sleep much at all last night. Now I feel just "blah" - almost like I'm hung-over.

So, I'm so glad at least YOU have the discipline to stick to your goals! Now I'll be recovering all week, and trying to fight strong urges to eat the candy and left over desserts around here. I know I can do it if I just keep my focus.

Great job getting to the gym at 5:30!!! Yes, I totally agree that you should see a difference when you're feeling the post workout pain :-)
I think you've done well on the sugar.
Yes, fitness gear is expensive. Good luck with the swimming.
There is no consistency in women's sizing.
Have fun with your "little sister"!
Have a very Happy Easter!! emoticon

Yeah, we like you! I love your v-logs! Plus your cat is just adorable :)
Great job on your run! I also found that running with the belt on my waist was better, it didn't move as much. Another thing that I did during my half was fill up one of my bottles (I have the exact same belt) with regular water and then I filled the other one with water mixed with some energy gel. That way I didn't get messy and sticky while running.
Good job on your sugar free week! A couple treats here and there are no biggy, you did great!
Have fun with your "little sister"! Going to the Humane Society is a great activity! emoticon

You are doing fabulous! Would love to hear more about menu planning. You are so organized and I know you are going to be a great wellness coach.

Menu planning, or lack of it is my downfall. I do good for a few weeks, the family likes the food, then I repeat too often and they get sick of my cooking. How can I keep it fresh, new and consistent all the time?

Hope your weekend is filled with warm sunshine and gentle Spring breezes!
