I'm doing something scary today -

Saturday, April 23, 2011

- and no, it is not shopping for a mother of the bride dress (although I am doing that as well!!) A few years ago I had a very successful weightloss with Curves and a few years before that another 30 pounds lost with Weight Watchers. Like so many others, I tend to yo-yo with weight loss and gain. I am really trying to make this a life style change but with little success so far. So - today - I decided to share my nutrition and fitness logs on my SparkPage - Hello people - that's the scary part!! I believe my success with the 2 previous programs was accountability to others in my group. Working out with a friend and sharing nutrition ideas with a group of strangers was a key part to my sucess. Even if no one looks at my nutrition/fitness logs, I know that they can and hopefully that will keep me on the treadmill and out of the refrigerator (and liquor cabinet.) emoticon

That's definately scary... but it's real. And I don't know about you, but I find that the REAL in-your-face motivations are the kind that I need.

Keeping track and posting is really an eye opener, it is for me. I didn't realize ( ? ) what a bit of this or that would add to the final numbers. Helps me to make wiser choices if I really want to take this weight off and keep it off. Good luck to
you. I'm right there with you!

It certainly is worth trying. Just tracking my food and exercise has been an eye opener for me. There are some days when I don't think I am eating too much but when I see it on paper (or on Spark) I realize what I have actually eaten.

It's scary but a good motivator. Good luck with the dress!
