I'm doing it!

Wow - I'm really doing this! I've lost 11 lbs. and I know that if I follow the plan I can do it... but I've really been having trouble sticking to things... tracking my meals... hitting the gym when my friend/sister can't meet me there... staying within my calorie range...

BUT I have been doing great at getting little extra bursts of activity! Squats while I brush my teeth... leg lifts in front of the photocopier... parking in the farthest corner of the parking lot... drinking all my water for the day...

I guess the things I'm doing right are adding up, even if I'm not perfect. And falling short of perfect, the temptation is there to just throw in the towel, but I WILL NOT. I will keep doing the best I can and remember that I am only an imperfect human being, doing the best that I can to strive for the perfection that will always be just out of reach - because that is the state of being human.

And that is comforting, to know that everyone else is in the same boat as me, one way or another!!
