not where i wanted to be

Saturday, April 23, 2011

i just noticed march made my third year sparkaversary
i am nowhere near the place i wanted to be at this time
i had lost some weigh
got off track
gained it back plus some
i am back on track now
i have one more pound to loose to back back at my starting weight
this is not the 50 pound weight lost i intended to be at by this time
i noticed i had set sveral goals and then would get discouraged when i did not meet them
so i decided i should set myself a doable goal
since i turn 50 on july 24th.
which is to reach to 215
that would be 6 pounds down and hopefully drop down one dress size emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

First, welcome back to the journey!

We all make that mistake; we set goals of moving mountains and get discouraged when the mountain doesn't move. Sounds like you're learning the same lesson we all have to learn - you can't push a mountain and move it. You gotta move it one shovel full of dirt and rock at a time.

I look forward to seeing if I made progress each week, but I have to set smaller, daily goals to get to that weekly objective. For me, it's to track everything I eat and keep all the food levels in the allowable range, and to try and hit 50 Sparkpoints per day. If I stick to my daily goals, I'm finding the weekly one takes care of itself.

Stick with it - you CAN do it!
