Your weight and your brain

Thursday, April 21, 2011

I'm as interested in keeping a healthy brain as in keeping a healthy body, so I found the article "Your Weight and Your Brain" very motivating. (It's the 2nd article on the page.)

Thanks for the link. I recently learned that my favorite eating apple is Pink Lady, but probably only eat 3-4 apples a week. I always knew two apples a day were better for one's health than just one. With over 50 lbs down, it's great to also know my brain has improved . . . there are times when I wonder! 8-)

Makes sense to me. I feel a bit slow-witted now that I'm not skinny anymore.

Two of the three Trivia Questions that I answered today were about the connection between your Brain and Exercise. This tied right in to that.

Well, as if we did not need yet another reason to "get it done" I will add this to my arsenal for reasons to make the good choices! The article about apples was quite interesting too.

    Thanks for the link!

Thanks for sharing! How interesting... I want to know about their NEXT study! Because obviously, I did not have surgery, I used diet and exercise... wonder if I would score better.

It's hard for me (and I'm not all that unusual so I imagine for others) to compare my current brain function with past brain function... you most of the time "think" you're on top of your game. OK, sometimes it's obvious even to oneself that we're operating in a fog... but mostly, we are what we are at any given moment.
