Graceful or a Clutz - Broken Toes and Bones--I want to be called Grace.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Well it official, i am called Grace by my children, they have always given me different names through the years per accidents i seem to have . BadBevNow, Motor Mouth, Grace, etc. And i always loved it and laughed with them. My accidents were always so funny, if they didnt hurt, but i usually got a broken bone some where in my body.
Broken left wrist, fell roller skating, Broken left foot, tripped over a Sock, yes this is true. Broken left foot big Toe, dropped a rock on it. Broken Right Foot, on our way to Florida, my son rented us a cottage right on the beach, i always wanted one where i could walk out my door and I'm right on the beach, and guess what happened on the way down to Florida, Yep you guessed it right, got up to go to the bath room and tripped on a roll in the carpet, had to go to the clinic, this was a bad break , so painful, I had to be on crutches, Have you ever tried to walk in the sand on crutches, well it doesnt work, and its painful. Well we kept the cottage so the kids and grand kids could use it for the beach.,
Broken left foot, slammed the truck door on it, dont ask!!! Now yesterday, i went to get in the Shower, hit the Shower door with my right foot, at the toes, yep you guessed right again, 3 middle toes broken, throbbed all night, bruised and swollen. Dr. said i will give you a Rx. for pain, then said oh! That's right you cant have any thing for pain (CKD), so maybe a Tylenol once in a while, and i dont like Tylenol, but tonight I'm sure i will take one. So this is the saga of my Broken bones. Of course the word Grace is a play on being kluty.. I would much rather be called Grace, its a beautiful name and so Graceful, Do you Get It Yet?

Wondering... how's everything going on the "broken toes" front line? Any updates on that, or on any "naming" ceremonies?

it sounds like you are a accident to happened as my family would say...as a big joke. Not able to walk for six years breaking my back trying to running backward to catch a ball. Got over the first fall to fall again and that one gave me down no doctor would do the surgery...I finally received a call from my good doctor Huntworth he said call and make an appointment with Dr. Khan yep an oriental but he had doesn't the kind of back surgery I needed and after a year a half after surgery I am walking with clutches, wheelchair, walker, cane, well cane kept in car for do get pain in lower back still for having all the pain for so many years. Hey, now this is your last broken bone.... emoticon

My sis used to call me 'Lady Grace' when we were growing up--I spent a part of almost every school year, on crutches! LOL

But you know something, I had a reason to look at some 'meaning of names' sites for a friend of mine, and got curious. My middle name is Ann, and you know what it means?...

Three guesses, and the first two don't count! emoticon

Hope all that's broken heals soon!

LOL, I always say "Grace is NOT my middle name!" I never had a broken bone until last fall, just shy of my 50th birthday (and the accompanying cruise...) I walked into an ottoman, stubbed my toe, and broke it. It was a few months before I was pain free. I sure did miss my Advil then too!!

Hope you heal fast, Grace! emoticon

well my dear i went to seattle for thanksgiving and christmas and broke the foot just now walking again lol grace is one of my favorite names for sure and if you need a pain killer take the tylenol pm just one and it will put you to sleep for the whole night and it's one you can still have of course you have a bit of hangover in the morning (yes with just half a dose) but you sleep and it dries up any sinus stuff going on but you need to drink several more cups of water to counter that

my my just so you know what works for me i sure do miss my advil for sure
