Ugh, Weekends!!!

I work really hard all week long in the gym..5 or 6 days every week. Then comes my weekend...full of things to do, places and people to visit....AND FOOD TO EAT. I guess I've been at this so long (2.5 years) that I feel 'entitled' to live a little and have some fun, just like everyone else. But as a dieting woman, I cannot afford to be so casual. The last few weekends have been a reminder that in 2 short days, I can UNDO all my hard work and weight loss from the entire week. This is unacceptable to me. Spinning my wheels is frustrating. I do not enjoy seeing that scale move in the wrong direction and honestly, I'm tired of redoing the same 10 pounds. Time to move on and get this done. No more frustration...only MOTIVATION!!!

    It's hard to "be good" all the time, isn't it? But the other choice leaves me feeling disappointed in myself. We all have these aha moments in our lives. Keep moving forward.

    You have come to far to stop now. I understand your frustration. I have been re-losing the same 6 pounds over that last few months. It is so frustrating but I know I have to keep going because the alternative is for me to quit and that is unacceptable. emoticon

    The weekends are very hard, I almost cringe when they come, I don't want to be invited to anything...when I get asked to go out it needs to be at Applebee's or Panera Bread, good places to make good choices and have some control. Undoing the same 10 pds sounds so daunting that yes, gotta stay motivated and just do it! Thanks for the awareness we need to keep in mind for our weekends.

    That is what is frustrating about losing weight or even maintaining it! It is something you constantly have to watch or be careful and sometimes the discipline can get tiresome! Our bodies does not let us have time off! It punishes us if we do! Hang in there! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Wow...what a message....and one that I needed to hear today. I finally started moving the needle down again...and alas another family dinner. I have been treating my stomach like a trash can today making hourly deposits of leftovers. Thanks for posting such an important message for me to read today, too.
