It is time for a change...Just got out of the hospital a few days ago after having to have two cervical vertebra fused. This is the third fusion since 2006. It is going to be slow going for a couple weeks but need to find an alternate way to exercise and lose some weight.

I would take it slow with walking/speed walking and please make sure it is okay with your Doctor first!!

I agree speak with your Dr. It was a point in time this year I was not able to do any kind of exercise, Then it went to doing what I could, And now I walk, Do some step arobics/strenght, I'm back on track. Be careful and let us know what you are doing.

Since you just got out of the hospital, I suggest talking to your surgeon/doctor before doing any exercise program. I know when I had my back surgery I wasn't able to exercise for a long time...mostly precautionary measures though. Then you might start slowly with some chair exercises...something that won't put strain or added pressure to your back/cervical/neck area. Walking is great exercise if you have been given clearance for that. Good luck to you.
