Still Rowing Above Water

Strange title I know, but let me tell you I earned it! I haven't fallen back in the river since that 1st day. Now I've been all up the river, down the river, negotiated under dark scary bridges, gotten stuck, gotten myself unstuck, dealt with big scary barges, faced winds and extreme weather conditions, flailed my oars around in choppy water... and I'm still dry. Woohoo! Last time out, I didn't even run into anything. Hah, you may laugh but believe me, I'm constantly running into stuff. But hopefully, the capsizing and then run-ins are now behind me and I can just work on my form and getting fast. I'd like to take my C1 exam (for sculling a single wooden boat) by the end of this Summer or the early Fall, so I can join one of the big rowing associations and start racing again next Spring. So I've got plans! But falling into the river and crashing into things aren't in them. And believe me, if I can do this, then I can do ANYTHING!
