Thank you for all the great responses from my last blog. I'm not a quitter and as I was reminded...I am a Cubs fans and we don't quit. I decided that I need to just start at the basics. Obviously what worked 2 years ago isn't working for me now. In talking to my son who is a teacher and personal trainer (go ahead and laugh - ironic I know) he told me I was focusing too much on cardio and not enough on strength. Plus I wasn't taking enough time to rest between workouts. So, I am actually cutting back on my cardio and going to do more strength. As far as the eating goes that's up to me. I am a stress eater and that's gotta stop. Today I had a horribly stressful day and instead of grabbing for junk or sweets, I choose protein (I didn't even have time for lunch). It's a start. One day at a time. Oh and that scale? I've decided to stay away for a couple of weeks. I am relying on my clothes and how they fit. So thanks again everyone for being there. Here I go again..

    Choosing protein instead of sweets are salts is a great step. It's hard to overeat protein. :)

    I know your not a quitter....we all go through moments of weakness, stress or whatever else our day brings. You are on the right track just keep focused and you are so lucky to have a son to help give you such great advise. emoticon
