My Injured Wrist is Really a Pain! But I found something new because of it...

Last Wednesday I fell at work and injured my wrist and knee...nothing major that required xrays, but I still had to go to medical and report the accident. It's a minor annoyance, except that Wednesday night I missed my workout with the team. Missed yesterday too, so this morning I was looking forward to joining LizzieCA55 at the Bodyworks class at the gym. This class requires lifting small weights, and performing weight-bearing exercises (like planks and pushups). I tried to do a plank at home this morning, just to see if my hand was any better - wrong move - I was immediately in pain again! Guess I'm not ready for that yet!
So I know that just because my hand hurts it doesn't give me a pass from cardio. I have cable with on-demand videos, so I decided to find a cardio on-demand video. I came across Billy Blank's Jr (son of Tae Bo founder Billy Blanks). He has several DVDs, including one called "Burn it Up!" I love the dance videos and classes (Latin Heat or Zumba, anyone???), so I thought I would try it. It's 55 minutes of cardio dance. Well, like his dad's Tae Bo, he kicks butt! But you're also having fun! He saves the Latin dances (my favorite) for last (so I had to tough it out to the end). If you have on-demand, I recommend trying it out!
