Happy staying busy

Sunday, April 10, 2011

I used to be a somewhat lazy person. I hate to admit it as it is believed to be a weakness. But you can overcome this just like everything else if you make up your mind to. This lead to boredom and then to overeating. I didn't realize they went hand in hand. I finally woke up to the fact I need to change this habit if I was to succeed at being a happier person. So, I looked around and found I had neglected houswork, being with friends and things in general. I've changed this habit in the last couple of years and I must say I'm better for it. I am more well-round and content with how things are going. I've found some work out buddies who have become very good friends. I keep the house cleaner. (somewhat, I still not a good housekeeper). I get outside more. So, I do let go and get a little lazy at times but nothing like I used to. It's resulted in a healthy lifestyle I can live with. Happy Sparking.

I used to have the opposite problem - I was a compulsive cleaner. I have learned balance and realized that a house did not need to be THAT clean and it was more important to be lived in and comfortable. Now that it's just the two os us we clean once a week together and it takes only about 2 hours.

We all need to be lazy occasionally. Isn't it great that it isn't a lifestyle anymore. My laziness is sitting here and reading blogs. So, technically it is still working towards healthy living, right?
