Iguanas with attitude

We've had a very dry winter, and now that spring is here we are slowly slowly easing into rainy season.
A few days ago, we had some rain - by afternoon, it was a very light rain as I drove home from school. Too rainy to walk, so I figured I'd go work on some projects.
There were a few iguanas in the gutter beside the road, drinking water. By the time I got to the driveway, I encountered two more iguanas - smack in the middle of the driveway, not drinking, not eating, just sitting there enjoying the light rain sprinkling down on their lizardy skin.
I beeped my little Yaris horn. Iguana #1 looked at me and then scurried to the side of the road and up the hill. Iguana #2 looked at me and looked away. I drove a bit closer. #2 just ignored me. I beeped the horn again. #2 turned his head away from me. So I got out of the car, waved my arms around, stomped my feet, and told him he had to get out of the way, I didn't want to run him over or anything. He turned around and faced me, like this would be a duel. I stomped closer and waved my arms and told him he had to move! He walked a few steps to the side. I said no, move all the way off the driveway. He eventually did, with a very begrudging attitude. As if he was doing me a huge favor by moving out of the way.
Sheesh! You'd think he was a teenaged iguana from all the attitude he gave me!
