Stress, good and not so good

Tuesday, February 06, 2007

I've had stress over and over. My poor husband cannot take his mind off past problems when he's tired. He gets irritated when I take my mother out shopping. She's had 4 strokes and I want to be with her a bit before she passes away. She only lives 5 minutes away. I only give her 1-2 days a week. I make sure that I'm home to make dinner and family activities but he still gets angry. We go out one night a week on a date and church together every Sunday.
Last week on our date night we went to the mall and we both sat in one of those Siatzu massage chairs. He seemed to like that.
Tonight is date night again. Not sure what we'll do. Hopefully he'll want the siatzu massage chairs again. They feel sooo good!
I had a busy day yesterday. My dad picked me up(I don't have my own car) and then I drove my mother in her car to two nutrition stores. Then a trip to Walmart. After that we went to the bird farm and she bought my daughter two Zebra Finches. Then we went out to eat. She is watching her sodium so we pick the healthiest places we can. Lastly, we went to the grocery store and she bought me 8 Healthy Choice tv dinners. Lemon Pepper Fish is my all-time fav, yum.
I'm sore today though. Takes me a couple days to recoup. I have to hauly her wheelchair out of the trunk and attach the foot pedals for each stop we make. Pushing her wheelchair with my one hand is a challenge too. I felt so good though that we had our time together.
After that I went home, ironed patches on my daugfhter's Brownie vest, then we went to the church where the meetings are held. We were early so I helped my daughter to memorize the books of the Old Teststament for her Awanas meeting on Wed. Then we set up a display on a table for her Girl Scout Leader to show the items she made to earn her Try=It badges. She made a eco-miniworld, grew a bean plant, made up a troop budget and made a pretend wild animal habitat.
When the meeting started it was time to total the amount of cookies all the girls sold. My daughter sold 524, she sold the most. The grand total was 1300 boxes! Looks like they will be going to Disneyland!!
I posted a couple new photos in my album here today too.
Well, I've got a sinkfull of dishes to start scrubbing and a load of towels in the washer to dry. It's time for another day to begin!
