Day 2 Holding strong

Wednesday, April 06, 2011

I'm keeping my $50 for my own massage! Well, I have 5 more days to go but I am going to do this. I needed this to get me re-motivated. I'm just finishing day 2 of not just not eating chocolate but also 1) drinking my water, 2) logging my food, and 3) getting my 10 min of exercise ... okay I got 110 min yesterday and 25 today but who's counting : ) ... oh, I guess I am because I logged it.

Another thing I did yesterday was not just weigh myself but record my inches. OM goodness ... my 15 lbs up resulted in A LOT more inches except my neck of all things. But it's all recorded so that this time I can rejoice in the lost inches and not focus so much on the scale. I think before I was losing inches but was so stressed out that the scale wasn't moving enough that I wigged myself out. So, the next time I stress about that will someone please remind me of this blog!!

My positive for the day ...all the good work I did on me.
My thank for the day ... I survived giving 2 of my 3 salary adjustments to my employees. Unfortunately none of them got what I would have given them but at least they got something.

Amazingly our stories are very similar. I made my initial goal weight...but still needed to lose another 10 pounds. Then I started gaining weight. Lose one, gain two. It's frustrating! I need to change my relationship with food. The exercising isn't the problem. It's my "need" to eat.

I like your $50 bet...money is a great motivator. Stay strong, you can do it.

I am glad to see this blog! I remember my "wow" over your success, so I am glad to see your spark back.

Somehow we see losing inches as secondary victory to losing lbs. But in truth, inches show the changes in our bodies more accurately.

This week I decided to remind myself every time I reach for sweets or extra food calories, that I can have that emoticon in Florida and Bahamas for 10 days straight. Not now. It seems this attitude of "earning" the cruise food has been helping for 3 days now.

Keep up your great work! emoticon
