Yay, two whole days to get my own personal things done, relax, work out, get groceries and plan food for the week, all that fun stuff we work in on our time off. It's a beautiful day outside and I plan to enjoy some outside time as well.
I really was seriously tempted today to go grab some fast food, I could almost taste it! But then I remembered hey, I have just a few pounds to go and I can be UNDER 200 for the first time in ages. Fast food isn't worth it at this point. So I'm checking out some of Tosca Reno's recipes in her Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook, there are a lot that I still haven't tried and I want to check out.
One is a breakfast protein drink that I just have to try:
Breakfast in a Blender
1 scoop of protein powder
1/3 cup of dry oatmeal
2/3 cut water, mik, soy milk, rice or almond milk
1 Tbsp. natural almond butter or nut butter of your choice
1 frozen banana(fresh if you don't have a frozen one)
2 Tbsp. unsweetened applesauce
1 Tbsp. flax seed (whole flax seed is fine)
1 Tbsp. wheat germ
1/2 cup ice cubes
Blend all ingredients.
