Last week a nurse I worked with died of ovarian cancer. She was 10 years younger than me. It is hard going to work with her colleagues and not having her there. We shared many patients. Many of these patients are from the inner city and are in wheelchairs. As her funeral was in another county than the one in which we work, distance made it so they could not attend. This added to my sadness.

In addition, a friend and fellow board member died suddenly and unexpectedly. This was a shock. It was hard going to the a single's function and experiences the void that her abscence created.

The funerals were back to back.

We sometimes do not realize how coworkers become such an implanted person in our heart. You are a dear friend to go pay respects. I am thinking of you... Linda

You can get very close to those you work with and they become like family. I am sending good thoughts and prayers your way.
