I'm a bit behind with blogging about the first cycle of this diet. Each day I eat pretty much the same foods so I didn't feel it was necessary to post each days menu. Mainly I eat yogurt, fruit, eggs and soup. It gets a bit boring but I am losing the weight so that's fine! Thursday morning I weigh in for the final weight loss for the first 17 days. I don't think it will be 10# but I'll be happy with over 6#. As long as I keep losing, it's all good!
This Thursday I start Cycle 2 for 17 days. It alternates between cycle 1 for odd days and cycle 2 foods on even days. This is to help re-introduce carbs and starches.
What I've learned so far:
***Eat fruits (carbs) before 2 pm
***Eat starches before 2 pm
***Make greek style yogurt a part of my day every day
***Exercise no matter what!
***Drink lots and lots of green tea
***Do this diet with friends and family to keep motivated
***Keep mantras handy for tough days when I miss carbs, or when I'm ready to give up.
Some of mine are:
"It's only 17 days out of my life, I can do this."
"Too much of a good thing is bad for me"
"Keep it simple"
I feel this diet is worth it. It takes some planning. I wish he had a journal to go along with the book.
I'm happy that it's true that "What goes up, must come down!" LOL!! Including my weight!
