I just signed up for a half marathon. It's in Portland, Maine, along a beautifully scenic route. It's at the beginning of October, so the weather should be good and I have plenty of time to train.
It's 6 months from today, actually.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!
Plan of attack:
I'm going to start going into work early 2 days per week, so I can leave a bit earlier to run. Saturday will be my long run, where I slowly increase mileage to get to 13. (13!!!!) Non-running days will be for cross training (30 Day Shred, Zumba, etc) and Sunday will be for yoga or pilates.
For a little extra inspiration, I just placed a ginormous order with Athleta for some cute running skirts (I've always wanted one!) and tops to match. And a swim/run tankini, just because it was cute.
And, I've decided that this ( www.onemoremilerunning.c
) will be my race shirt. Because I will do almost anything for a good shirt.
And away I go...
