I just finished reading SP Coach Nicole write about her 1/2 marathon experience. Just the motivation that I need.
I haven't posted a blog in a long time. I gained a ton of weight and did not want to have a blog evolve into my own pity party. So....I made some decisions.
I joined the discount gym in my area. It is very close to work. I plan out my lunch, outfit for work, and also the work out outfit. I have it down to the socks planned so that there is no excuse to NOT go to the gym before work. My alarm clock took a nose dive off it's resting spot- when right out and got another one- NO excuse. I am now cooking meals ahead of time and freezing them. I work 3, 12 hour shifts a week. I have no excuse NOT to plan ahead. I made a list on the door that I walk out of each morning reminding me of the essentials (like Bring a TOWEL! and grab that Ipod, don't forget lunch, etc)
This has made a huge difference in how I'm living. Coach Nicole's blog reminds me that these efforts are what it's about. I am out of my comfort zone. I feel like I can blog about what is going on since I am actually trying to get it back together. I won't give up because I'm tired or it would be the easy thing to do.
And....I just started week 1 of the podrunner couch to 5 k program. This will be the third time that I've done this program. I actually ran a 5k after completing that program last time.
