Gone for awhile and need to make changes

It seems for whatever reasons,..I cannot seem to get motivated, everything from being too busy, to hurting so much, I just don't feel like it, but I need to make changes and get motivated......somehow..

Today I woke up feeling just exhausted and was really hurting in my neck, shoulders and upper back, right around my spine. Really didn't feel like doing anything, but wound going looking for some mythical property...2 acres to be exact that was supposed to be for sale. Maybe it will turn up..

Later in the evening I went to the health food store and bought some more teas, (bought some last night at Kroger) so now I have 3 of the Yogi teas, and a few others. I had Ginger Tea when I got back and boy does that taste take some getting used to.

I also went to Freds and bought some more potting soil and some more shepherds hooks..I have several now, for some of my hanging herb baskets that I put together. I now have lavender, rosemary, thyme, basil, oregano, parsley, lamb's ear, lemon balm, lemon verbena, chives (both garlic and onions), two different kinds of sage, 2 different kinds of peppermint, fennel, dill, and yarrow.

I also went to the Goodwill bookstore and bought some more books... a couple on how to have a healing home and to make your home a sanctuary..and a few books by Laura Childs and Susan Wittig Albert.

For breakfast I had bagels and lox at the Temple, and for lunch I had a plate of Taco Salad at my Mom's and for dinner I had to Organic Beef Hotdogs on Eco Sandwich bread, with a baked potato and a big oatmeal raisin cookie from the health food store with milk.

Gonna have a glass of red wine and read my books..:-)

I took an OTC Prilosec starting today, because of somde digestive troubles and I also took a probiotic with breakfast and one with dinner.


I really hope I get a good night's sleep tonight, cause I haven't had one all week for one reason or another.

    I am so sorry that you are feeling so bad and hope that you feel better soon.

I love teas but have found a couple I did not like.

I grow herbs too and love them. I grow most of what you grow plus marjoram and coriander.

I love Goodwill but ours usually does not offer very good books.

    Goodbye130, I think you are very right and I hope to start getting plenty of sleep and taking better care of myself.

Vamanos, that is good to know about the Prilosec and calcium. I will keep that in mind.

Asilla, the reason I hung them in baskets (and I used the cocoa baskets) is because I have cats and squirrels and usually my herbs don't do so well..this seems to be better so far.

    Could it be that your lack of sleep is hindering your motivation? I know that when my sleep patterns are interrupted then everything feels off.

Take good care of yourself and I'm sure you'll find that motivation somewhere. Come on' just dig deep! emoticon

    I really love to hear from you :) you have been a very busy woman! The hanging herb baskets sound fascinating, very good idea. I was thinking about trying to grow some this year but am afraid the critters that live around would eat them all, not sure. Bagel and lox with books and wine sound divine! Hope you get feeling better very soon and are able to enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Wow, it's been a while since we heard from you! Sounds like you've been busy with gardening and making some changes.

I wanted to give you a caution about Prilosec...even though it's the most effective way I found to handle my heartburn before I lost enough weight to keep it at bay. Following my mother's and daughter's advice to just keep taking it because it was prescribed that way for them, I was shocked to learn from my mother that it robs your body of calcium! She now has osteoporosis, and they think it was a major contributing cause. So be sure to get enough calcium while you are taking it! I no longer need it, thank goodness. Hopefully as you lose a few more pounds you'll find the same is true for you. I only had to lose about 15 pounds to completely eliminate it.
