Pity the Fool!

I pity the fool! In my last post I totally didn't know what day April Fools day was. It was yesterday. There was snow on the ground when I woke up yesterday. I did not work out yesterday.

My parents and brother came to visit me yesterday! They got a hotel and we went out to dinner and all slept at the hotel. This morning we got up, had breakfast, and my parents left my brother with me in my apartment. At the last minute I told my parents I wanted John's wheelchair (he has mobility issues, but can walk short distances). And inspired by the spring weather that finally arrived, we went for a walk around the lake!! It was a 2.5 mile boardwalk, and it felt so good to be out in the sunshine, and seeing people of all fitness levels out and enjoying the day.

I now have no excuse. Its time to get out and enjoy the weather. I also have decided that instead of buying an ipod touch and using the nikeplus technology. I want to go straight to the Garmin. Does anyone have one? Or have suggestions?

    I managed one short walk outdoors but rural living means no sidewalks and sometimes icy walking. I hope spring arrives soon up here in the north.

    I loooove my Garmin. A friend has one and she loves it too. There is no calibrating at all. You just turn it on and GO! Wander all around! It's great. It can do timed intervals and more. It even has a "virtual man" setting that you can use to race against an imaginary someone. Mine came with a heart rate monitor too.

    so fun that your family came for a visit!! Def get out there and enjoy that sunshine. I have no experience with garmin, only nike+ sorry!
