I signed up for the 2011 St. George Marathon yesterday. The race isn't until October, but I think I want to use all that time for slow steady training. I ran my first half marathon this past February and it went fine. My primary goal for this coming marathon is to train and run it without injuring myself. A secondary goal is to enjoy the experience with my 17 year old son.
My next steps: recoup from a torn hamstring (doing well now), decide on a training schedule, and figure out how to buy some new running shoes for about mid summer.
