Seven Months ago I discovered SPARK!

Saturday, April 02, 2011

Hi Spark friends. Thanks for reading my biog. I hope your weight loss journey is going well for you. Thanks for all you do for me with the motivation and comments I receive daily from you. emoticon

I can hardly believe that it is 7 months now since I discovered Spark. It has really been a blessing for me and such a motivator. I decided I better update my goals and program and renew my commitments to myself in this journey. So, I did this today and have planned a new goal date too. emoticon

I had to change my goal date and make it later than I originally planned. I will be having knee surgery on April 13th. I will be off of my regular exercise plan and food plan since I will be in the hospital for two weeks. After my knee surgery, I will be doing P.T. in the hospital for two weeks and then once home for another 4-5 weeks P.T. So, I am concerned that I may have a problem losing and I hope being less active does not make me gain. Please do not let me gain!! (-: (-: I plan to take my WW 's calculator, pocket guide and notebook with me and really hope I can track daily. I hope the food is healthy, but you never know. I cook healthy with whole grains at home and know I am spoiled with all my favorite foods. emoticon

So, wish me well and a successful surgery, okay? (-: (-: I appreciate it. I only hope for the best and want to be free of this pain and be able to have a active life and enjoy my family, friends and all the wonderful gifts life has to offer. I want to see my grand kids grow up and enjoy life. Life is short. I want to make it a healthy happy one. As soon as I can drive and go up and down the steps I am planning to get back into
FULL SWING with my exercise routines. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I will be here on Spark for another 10 days, so keep me posted how you are doing and Stay Strong with your program. I know you can do it. I am so proud of all of you and your success with your weight loss commitment. Only Winner's do this and we are Winners!! emoticon

I will not have computer access while I am away, so I will miss all of you. I will return and check in when I can. Maybe I will be lucky to borrow a laptop for an hour when I am in the hospital, but not sure if this will be allowed either. So, I will have to shut off my email and community posts coming in-- at home here. I have made so many wonderful friends on Spark and many of you feel like family to me. (-: (-: In case, I have missed anyone lately with comments to you, just know I do appreciate your great endeavors and daily status comments too. Be well and safe and keep Sparkin!! hugs, Ei emoticon emoticon

Happy Spring!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I wish you the best during your surgery and a quick recovery. Just take care of yourself and do what they say. You only have one chance to heal correctly. My husband had both his hips replaced a few years ago and he is so glad that he did! You will be missed but check in and update us when you get a chance. emoticon

Hey girlfriend, you'll be running around with your new knee before you can say 'Jack Robinson'.

The 'waiting to get back into proper exercise' after any op. is frustrating tho' and, if you're anything like me, can get a bit impatient.

All the very best Ei, but I'm sure we'll be sparkin' together before your op.

You are really dedicated to your program, I know you will do a great job on your plan while your in the hospital. You could always take your dumbbells with you and do your arm exercised so you don't lose mussel mass. Mussels burn more calories that fat. I will be thinking and praying for you. Stay Strong my friend. I am so happy to be your friend too.
Hugs
