March Results & Update...

Friday, April 01, 2011

First of all, I really apologize... I didn't realize that it's been over 3 weeks since my last blog! Boy, where the heck does the time go? (esp. since I'm still sitting at home on medical leave... so it's not like I don't have the time to write one!)

Anyway... March has been a good month, so on to the results:

Weight: 5.4 lbs. lost

Body fat %: 0.89% lost

Upper arms: no change

Chest: 0.25 in. lost

Waist: 0.75 in. lost

Hips: 1 in. lost

Thighs: no change

Calves: no change

I made good strides (in the right direction) w/ both the scale & the tape measure... and have placed myself back into "ONE"derland! YEAH!!! Now, to just keep myself there...

I'm trying to make working out part of my daily routine now that I'm finally getting my strength back. I've been doing very well with this until yesterday & today... but now I'm fighting a horrendous cold & sore throat, which has totally zapped any energy I might be able to muster up. (plus, I'm so congested that I can barely breathe just standing here, so working out is probably not gonna happen)

I'm still going to physical therapy, but they've cut out my Aqua Therapy session & have me down to just 2 sessions for the next couple of weeks. I'm scheduled to return to work on April 19th, w/ an 8-hr shift to "ease" me back into being on my feet for an entire shift. I am also continuing w/ my personal training session each week, which seems to really be helping me w/ my strength & stamina.

I've got a busy couple of weeks before I return to work... I leave this weekend to "road trip" w/ my son for a couple days to go see Lady Gaga for our 3rd time. Then next weekend, if Mother Nature decides to be nice, my hubby & I are gonna go hit the lake for a couple days to just get away. The beginning of next week, I'm back down to my son's college town for a Jason Derulo concert, and to help him do some packing for his move to Florida. And then finally, the weekend before I return to work, my dad & I are gonna "road trip" to Nebraska to visit a friend of mine who is a minister up there. (I've never been able to catch one of his services, so we decided we'd finally make the trek north to do so) So, yeah... looks like I'll be putting a little mileage on over the next couple weeks! LoL Guess I'm making up for all of the time that I was cooped up in the house right after surgery!

Hopefully, I'll be able to report numbers just as good next month DESPITE all the road tripping I have ahead of me... those are usually my downfall...
